This past week involved a glorious four-day weekend. It’s hard to go wrong when there are all of those work-free days available. I spent them hanging out with family, puttering around the kitchen, starting a new crochet project, and appreciating many of the joys that my little corner of New Jersey has to offer.
It’s a roundup of the little (and big!) moments I have captured all week. Some of these images are posted on Instagram, but many aren’t posted anywhere but here. Some days there may be no photos, and other days there may be multiples.
Making more deodorant powder. I love this stuff. On really hot days I may need a second application, but for the most part, it does a nice job.
The rest of last summer’s frozen berry harvest got dumped into the bread machine and turned into a small batch of jam. I winged it (since there is no recipe for the mixture of random berries I had) and it came out quite good!
Sunday
It was a beautiful day for a drive through the countryside. Mom came over, and we rode around rural Morris, Hunterdon, and Somerset Counties, and then we stopped at a farm stand where we each bought a pot of zinnias.
Monday
I have the day off, and I need a new project. I’m thinking a stripey hat will be fun.
Making progress on the hat. Not sure I’m going to want to wear this, but pressing on anyway.
Friday
I was having kind of a bleh afternoon, but then the mail came. Putting on some funky socks, and flipping through an artsy magazine should turn things around 🤔🙂
Thanks for helping me celebrate the week! If you want to see some of this stuff as it happens, please feel free to follow me on Instagram ♥
