Welcome to TWiP, aka This Week in Pictures.
Do you know what I have noticed this week about my photography? Body parts. I seem to gravitate towards pictures with a human element. I don’t mean whole people, usually, but rather hands and feet. My favorite images of my own seem to be those with my hands or feet in them. Just a few days into July, and “body parts” seems to be the unofficial theme of this month’s Project 365!
(FYI, my Project 365 this year has changing monthly themes. June was “details.” July is “Summer” and I am using Tracey Clark’s daily photo prompts from her Picture Summer class.)
Saturday
365: Details 28/30 – Party gingham – I just can’t resist gingham lately.
Sunday
365: Details 29/30 – Leftovers – A scoop of mixed berry crisp for breakfast? Yes, please.
Monday
365: Details 30/30 – Summer fun – This boy has been asking me to play UNO with him in the summer every year since he was 5. How can I refuse?
Tuesday
365: Summer 1/31 – Here Comes the Sun – (Translation: take a picture of a quintessential symbol of summer.) My parents’ pool. Definitely.
Wednesday
365: Summer 2/31 – Splashy – (Translation: take a picture of cooling off with water.) Oh my gosh, is it ever hot out today! I’m happy to have this prompt as an excuse to play with some water outside 🙂 The sun is so strong, that within 15 minutes of taking this picture, the bricks were completely dry. The entire puddle, gone.
Thursday
365: Summer 3/31 – Getting Centered – (Translation: take a picture where the subject is smack-dab in the center.)
Friday
365: Summer 4/31 – Summer Traditions – (Translation: Take a picture of a July 4th tradition). BBQ and Red, White + Blue 🙂
Thanks for taking a peek at this week’s photos! If you want to see this stuff as it happens, please feel free to follow me on Flickr.
I may already have plans to blog about some of these things in greater detail over the coming week, but be sure to leave a comment if there’s something in particular you want to know about!
