TWiP: Cruising

This Week in Pictures, Week 27, 2020

Our air conditioning is still not fixed, while the heatwave continues. There are some brutally hot moments in the day, though the early and late hours are not too bad, and we have a few fans that are a big help, when they are pointed directly at me, as one is right this very minute.

But in bigger news, after a few months of looking, I was finally able to find a bicycle! A mint green beach cruiser 💚🤍💙 (when will they ever make a mint green heart emoji? I often need one 😁)

So, what is This Week in Pictures?

It’s a roundup of the microblogging I’ve done on Flickr and Instagram all week. This includes photos I shot for Project 365 and any other extra images I may have posted.

Photos taken with 📷 (Canon EOS 80D) or 📱 (Samsung Galaxy S9).

Ready? Cast your mind back to Saturday last week…

This is the weirdest looking moth I have ever seen.

When you’re going to pick up bagels but decide a quick detour to the liquor store is in order, only they don’t have the hard lemonade you wanted.

Interesting mail day today. Got the freebie sample box I ordered from fabfitfun, courtesy of my sister-in-law, and the POKADOT license plate, which is a tiny replica of the one I had on the first car I ever bought myself. We called that car the Pokamobile, and soon I’ll be getting a new bicycle, which I think we are just going to have to nickname the Pokamobike 😁. The plate, BTW, is from Etsy seller PhotoShopGa, and they really did a nice job on it.

Lately, my day doesn’t start at my desk. Instead, I hang out in the living room for an hour or two, enjoying breakfast next to the open window, while I work.

Hello, Trader Joe’s, I am back! Have you missed me? It’s been at least four months!

My bike arrived today, earlier than expected! I put it together myself, though Neil tightened the screws and nuts for me, since he’s got superhuman strength apparently. I can’t wait to finish accessorizing. Oh, and yeah, I’d like to ride it, too 😁

First day of a four day weekend. I could literally stay here all day in my homemade polka dot pajamas if I wanted to. I think I will get up, though. I have a list of things I’d like to do, and they’re all enjoyable.

I planned to go on an early bike ride this morning, but instead I slept in until 8:30, and then lolled about for 20 minutes after that. I did get out on the new bike for ten minutes, but it was all I could handle. I’m so out of shape. I felt a little sick by the time I stashed the bike in the garage, if I’m being honest 🤢. Getting actual exercise is going to take some getting used to, I think… Anyway, now I am in my bedroom, with two heavy duty fans pointed at me (A/C is still busted), swatching for the #judahcardigan and having some breakfast. This is the first time I have picked up the needles since the pandemic began, if you can believe it. Later, I will probably cut into some fabric for a new pair of pajama pants. Or attach a rearview mirror and bell (brrring brrring!) to my bike. Or maybe both. I love having a day off! The possibilities are endless ❤️
