Another month gone by, another Color Challenge over! Actually, it’s been two months this time. KELLY GREEN was a fun one, and saw 320 photos entered into the pool. Yikes! I love how the challenge is attracting so many participants, but it certainly makes my job of narrowing things down much harder! But narrow it down, I did.
Allow me to introduce you to the finalists, before I reveal the winner:
- Blue BIrd Lil Dumplin, by magicbeanbuyer
- Painting of drawings from my son, by my_eva
- Lost Lily Earrings – Custom Color, by blockpartypress
- wibit, by wibit
- evey’s lime, by moe-ch
- Octave and Joséphine II 02, by kifkif
- Cutout, by beadworx
- green_spring_heart_01, by revoluzzza
- Looks like a rose ring, by zsbcreations
I encourage you to take a closer look at these photos and at the rest of the ones in the pool! Leave your comments on the photos over at flickr and let the artists know what you think – it’s always gratifying to hear that something you made has gotten a positive reaction from another creative type.
If you are one of these finalists and would like to elaborate here on what was involved in creating your entry, be my guest – the comments section is yours
And now, I turn to the trusty random number generator (aka Aidan, who hasn’t looked at any of the images) to select a winner:
Drumroll please…
And the winner is… #2!
Congratulations, my_eva! I really love the concept of your painting, and the way the you incorporated your son’s artwork. I will be emailing you shortly with information about your $25 gift certificate.
Everyone else, get ready for May. We’ll be focusing on DAFFODIL this month. Think pretty Spring flowers. I look forward to seeing what great things you come up with. I’ve made the decision that the color challenge will be a one year affair. As such, since we started in August of last year, our last challenge month will be July of this year. That’s three more months and three more colors left to go! Thanks, as always, for your participation!
