Just a month after finishing one blanket, I’ve got my brain working on another. I am wondering if I am crazy. I don’t do so well on projects that take me more than a few weeks. I lose steam and get bored. I try to space out my big endeavors with little instant-gratification trinkets in between. And yet…
I can’t get flowers out of my head. I played around with a few different designs, and have finally come up with a look that makes me happy. I’ve chosen all yarn colors that I already have in my stash, and that also go nicely with my family room. I plan to make a nice little garden of flowers, turn them into square blocks, and put them on a creamy white background. Doesn’t that sound nice?
I find myself reaching for one of the other two crocheted blankets every night, and so I think it’s time I make one for me. After Boring Office Guys hexagon blanket, and Flufy’s granny squares, a nice girly floral pattern might do me some good!
Also, though? There’s Neil. I don’t want to leave him out. So, I’m thinking that maybe I will simultaneously work on one for him. I’m thinking big, boring, brown granny triangles, for a man-friendly look. Heh.
And some day there will be patterns for both of these things. However long that takes!
Look at me, making two blankets at once. I may just be crazy…
I love this one! Great colors, as always. And I’m looking forward to seeing where you go from here!
I have to say, all of that time I spent with Aidan’s kelly greens, browns and royal blues, has made me appreciate my usual color palette even more 🙂
No, you aren’t crazier than any other knitter/crocheter. We’re always itching to put something new on the needles.
True! Glad to know we’re all in this insanity together 🙂
No crazier than the rest if us! I love the flowers you’re crocheting and might have to try them 🙂
I plan to share the flower pattern once I am absolutely sure I’ve got it where I want it 🙂
