This has been a nice week, and a pleasant send-off for the Summer season. We took one last dip in the pool, treated ourselves to some frozen treats for lunch, and visited a sunflower maze.
I am always a little saddened to see summer end, but I have to admit that there is a part of me that is eager for the cooler weather and what it means for my wardrobe – my handknits have been waiting patiently for me to come back to them, and the new one I have on the needles is just one sleeve and a button band away from completion. Yay!
So, what is This Week in Pictures?
It’s a roundup of the photos I shot with my DSLR for Project 365 (one image each day for all of 2015), plus some phone snapshots I posted on Instagram during the previous week.
Ready? Cast your mind back to this time last week…
Saturday
365: 2015 241/365 – Neil and the boys were all busy tonight, and I had nothing in particular to do, so I took my camera into town in search of something interesting. I found a full moon 🙂 [in the Starbuck’s parking lot]
Sunday
365: 2015 242/365 – I went to the farm today to pick some flowers. That didn’t go as planned, but I did get to check in on the fowl population. It seems they have a nice new coop. [at Hillview Farms]
Monday
365: 2015 243/365 – Last swim of the summer! We took underwater pictures – hopefully some of them come out 😉 [at my parents’ house]
Tuesday
365: 2015 244/365 – Progress so far on my Caribou: body complete, one sleeve started, sleeves and button band yet to complete. A week or two ought to do it. Also: my new knitting knerd t shirt 🙂
Wednesday
365: 2015 245/365 – We had a morning full of sunflowers today. Even though I took over 100 pictures, I’m having trouble finding one that really shows how pretty it was there. This is close, though 🙂 [at Sussex County Sunflower Maze]
Thursday
365: 2015 246/365 – Eamonn, taking the obligatory First Day of School Instagram shot.
Friday
365: 2015 247/365 – It’s only September 4th, but there are already clear signs of fall in my yard. And yet, the weather continues to feel very hot and summer-like.
Thanks for taking a peek at this week’s photos! If you want to see this stuff as it happens, please feel free to follow me on Flickr and/or Instagram.
I may already have plans to blog about some of these things in greater detail over the coming week, but be sure to leave a comment if there’s something in particular you want to know about!
I like the glasses. 🙂 You never know where styles will go, but at least they don’t (normally) change as quickly as clothing styles. Thank goodness.
Agreed! That would get pretty expensive pretty quickly!
