A few months ago I got a roll of Lomochrome Metropolis film, which is meant to result in muted tones with occasional pops of color. It’s designed to be right at home in a city. So naturally, the first place I took it was to an old mill surrounded by trees and water. Read on to see if that went as well (or as poorly) as you might think it went.

Our 16th Ocean City Trip
We went to Ocean City, NJ last month (as we do), and I took a bunch of photos (as I do). It’s getting harder to find new subjects and new vantage points, but I think I managed it this year with side trips to Corsons Inlet and Wildwood, and with a variety of cameras.

I wrapped up my ornament-making season this week, and then whipped up a few jewelry pieces, because I was surprisingly still in the mood. That’s not great news for my dining room table, but it’s good news for anyone who’s been thinking they’d like a new colorful bangle bracelet to go with that sweater…

As of this week, I’ve got four instant cameras and two and a half photo albums full of evidence of my misadventures. I do think, though, that I may have finally turned a corner with my latest purchase…

This week was perfect. Between a little solo getaway at the beginning, and a day off from work at the end, and just the fact that I managed to pick up a camera of some kind every single day, I have a very full mosaic this week. And some of these images I really, really love.

This week saw the return of things that have been scarce in the year of the pandemic: family parties and head colds. One of those things I missed, and one I did not 🙂
