It’s been a long month, LOL! Maybe two projects was too many, but I’m glad I did them 🙂 I’m ready to be done, and to be free to work on whatever I feel like working on (including nothing, if that’s how I feel)!
It’s a roundup of the little (and big!) moments I have captured all week. Some of these images are posted on Instagram, but many aren’t posted anywhere but here. Some days there may be no photos, and other days there may be multiples.
Aug 27 In Formation: Daisies in my mother’s back yard
Sunday
This is the finished earring display unit that my mom and I made. It’s currently holding some of the pairs I made for the August of Earrings, but eventually I plan to use it for my personal jewelry collection (I have a lot of handmade earrings that I never wear – maybe if I put them where I can see them, I’ll actually put them on my ears once in a while!)Aug 28 The Scale of Space: Because there’s very little space left around it, this glitter looks much bigger than it actually is. The largest piece is about 1/8 inch or 3mm
Monday
That feeling when you put on a pair of earrings you never wear, and you grab a coffee mug you never use, and only a few hours later realize that they have the same pattern on them!Aug 29 A Shape With no Name: The shape of flame
Tuesday
Mushrooms growing in the grass next to the libraryAug 30 Communicating in Color: An iconic use of red
Wednesday
Aug 31 Feeling Grateful: Elastic, because I have stretched myself this month. The elastic is relaxed, because come tomorrow I will be relaxed, too, because both of my creative August projects will be over and I can give my brain (and my Instagram grid) a break 🤣
Thursday
It is going to take a lot of self control not to eat the entire top of the loaf that I just cut off.
Friday
It’s time to do something about this storage cabinet. This is where I keep my polymer clay supplies, in theory. I’ve outgrown it, but only because half of it is filled with things I no longer use. I’ve got a long weekend ahead, and I plan to make a dent in this job.
Thanks for helping me celebrate the week! If you want to see some of this stuff as it happens, please feel free to follow me on Instagram ♥
TWiP: Rainy Days and Peonies (2017) When it wasn't raining this week, I was fawning over our peonies. Okay, even when it *was* raining, I was fawning over the peonies.
Trying new things (2015) For the next few days, I am testing the waters on a new idea. If you think you might like one of my photos to hang on your wall, please click through. If this experiment is a success, I'll open a full-fledged photo print shop!
Peonies: a retrospective (2010)
I've had a blog since 2005, but I didn't move to my own host until June 1, 2007. My first post
Has it really come to this? (2009) I thought that being self-employed meant never having to wake up to a note like this. My boss
