It’s been a creative week. I made some wash cloths for the kitchen, two new types of tools to keep in my shop, and scones from last summer’s berry harvest 😋
It’s a roundup of the little (and big!) moments I have captured all week. Some of these images are posted on Instagram, but many aren’t posted anywhere but here. Some days there may be no photos, and other days there may be multiples.
This would be much more picturesque without the dead bug in the jar, but Neil insists keeping it there to serve as a warning to other carpenter bees 😁
Sunday
Welcome to my weekend detour into washcloth making 😁. I replaced two that were getting ragged and holey, and then I made another when I realized a third old one was fraying, too. So, now I have three of the original knit cloths that are still in decent shape, and three new crochet cloths. And a clean kitchen counter top 😁 Also posted on Instagram
I’ve been craving scones for weeks. WEEKS, I tell you! So when I realized this morning that I actually had the ingredients on hand, I did a little happy dance and made a batch on my lunch hour. These have berries that we picked and froze last summer in them. They look like kind of a disaster, but they taste just right 😋 Also posted on Instagram
Friday
Had to make sure that the ravenous young people who prowl my kitchen overnight didn’t eat all of the scones.A nice start to my Friday morning.
Thanks for helping me celebrate the week! If you want to see some of this stuff as it happens, please feel free to follow me on Instagram ♥

Work in progress (again, finally) (2016) Remember the ol granny square sampler from 2012? I never finished mine, but it's time to finally get er done. This is my progress so far.
Gotta love those boys of mine (2008) Neither one of them has even remembered that we have Easter baskets around here. There will
