I’ve been getting in the mood to get the polymer clay out and play. And that has put me in the mood to spruce up my shop a bit. Over the course of the past week, I’ve made sure every handmade item I have for sale has a photograph to match it, I’ve introduced a new credit card payment option that allows you to avoid PayPal if you like, and I’ve opened up backorders on most items.
As far as backordering goes, because I don’t work in polymer 100% of the time, I usually don’t allow the ability to order handmade items that are not already in stock. If I don’t have it already made, I usually can’t guarantee when I will have the time (or, let’s be honest here, the inclination) to make what you want. So, usually backorders are OFF.
But, I am definitely starting to get antsy to get my hands dirty again. AND I’ve got the annual South Jersey Clayathon in a few weeks. I’d be happy to go there, armed with a list of things to make for you. So please, go ahead and order whatever you like in whatever colors you like!
Here’s a 20% OFF coupon, just for kicks: READY4SPRING
So, what is This Week in Pictures?
It’s a roundup of the microblogging I’ve done on Instagram all week. This includes photos I shot for Project 365 and any other extra images I may have posted.
Photos taken with 📷 (Canon EOS 80D) or 📱 (Samsung Galaxy S7).
Ready? Cast your mind back to this time last week…
Saturday

I’m still working some Saturday morning half-days to help bank enough time for my big vacation this summer. I put in my four hours today and then filled up my travel mug with some coffee to bring home for this afternoon.
Sunday

I usually photograph items for my shop with the fancy camera, but I tried this setup on a whim, and it actually was much simpler. And I could do it while sitting in bed bingeing “The Americans” 😀

I finally figured out an easy but effective way to photograph the bangles I make for my shop.

Tuesday

A lot of snow melted yesterday, so the first thing I did today was look for signs of spring that may have been previously buried. Found some! 💚

Making coffee in the kitchen and chatting on Discord with my son, who is just a few rooms away.

Thursday

I striaghtened up the room, brewed some coffee, and lit a candle. Now what? I could just sit here and watch TV, but that seems too unproductive. I may need to crochet something…

Friday

I’m treating myself to a work from home day. I could use the change of scenery. It energizes me to get more done. And today, I’ve opened a window for the first time since October, so that is making the whole thing even more wonderful 🙂
Thanks for taking a peek at this week’s photos! If you want to see this stuff as it happens, please feel free to follow me on Flickr or Instagram ♥
Can you share what flexible tripod you are using for your phone?
Hi, Karen. It’s a Gorillapod, and I love it! I bought it a long time ago, and so I don’t remember which model it is, but I think it’s most comparable to the 3K one listed here. Mine doesn’t have such a fancy head attachment as the newer ones do. Also, if you plan to use it with a phone, make sure that it has an attachment that can grasp the phone. I had to buy a separate piece for that.
Thanks so much!
You are welcome 🙂
