This week is an example of what I was afraid would happen if I stopped requiring myself to take a photo a week. I have four images from Saturday, two from Thursday, and nothing else. Who knows what I was doing the rest of the week? Oh well. If this only happens once in a while, I think I can live with it 🙂
It’s a roundup of the little (and big!) moments I have captured all week. Some of these images are posted on Instagram, but many aren’t posted anywhere but here. Some days there may be no photos, and other days there may be multiples.
I have two sweaters finished! One for me, which you see here, and one for my youngest niece. They’re both based on the Flax pattern by Tin Can Knits, but I left off the garter stitch panel in the sleeves. On my sweater, I added a single subtle contrast row to the collar, sleeves, and hem, and on little miss K’s sweater, I used the contrast color on all of the ribbing. This is what happens when I buy too much yarn – matching aunt/niece sweaters 😂. It gets worse, since I have enough of this yarn left to inflict another Flax variation on a second niece. I am That Aunt. I have plans to blog this in more detail soon. Also posted on InstagramVisiting Mom. I gave her this candle, and we both agree it’s a bit of an assault on the nose. And yet, nobody has blown it out 😁.
Thursday
Happy mail! Yarn for my next two sweaters (one for me, one for a third niece) and a new book to enjoy. My favorite chocolate bar is a store brand, but the store closed in my town. Luckily, I have mad detective skills, and I figured out who manufactures it for the private labels, and have been able to find it in a few other local markets under their store brands. Even better, it’s now available in the store where Neil does all of our food shopping. Yay! I’ll take seven bars please 😆
Thanks for helping me celebrate the week! If you want to see some of this stuff as it happens, please feel free to follow me on Instagram ♥
