My solo staycation

I think maybe the first day back to school/work/etc after a week off, is the perfect time to start doing the taxes.

Having the family around for spring break, not being tied down to a schedule, enjoying the freedom of spontaneous plan-making… it’s all good. But I’d be lying if I said I didn’t relish the opportunity to spend a few hours totally alone, with nothing but the sound of the keyboard clacking under my fingers for company.

Sometimes I feel the need for a solo vacation after the family vacation.

So here it is, Monday morning, and while I kind of miss everyone, I also kind of don’t. I am ready to spend the day in my dumpy clothes, sipping coffee and plugging numbers into spreadsheets. It’s oddly relaxing.

Have a nice week! If you need me, I’ll be over in the introvert section, enjoying a little math in my pj’s.

    1. Clearly, we introverts “get” each other 🙂

  2. Your photo is beautiful! I haven’t even started my taxes yet! UGH…XoXo

    1. Thanks! I took that photo while on a walk around the neighborhood. I’d been eyeing that tree for three days before I finally grabbed my camera and went for it, LOL! Now get crackin’ on those taxes 🙂

  3. […] in brown, which is a little odd for this time of year, if my blog archives are to be believed. This photo was taken at this time last year, but it looks nothing like that here yet. We’re still at the […]
