TWiP: It’s May!

This Week in Pictures, Week 18, 2022

My favorite month has arrived 🙂

As I write this post, it is a rainy and chilly Saturday morning, and I am sitting on the bed, listening to a morning playlist I threw together, sipping coffee, and savoring a fig bar. It’s not a bad way to start a day, and it means that I will get this post published on the day it’s meant to be published, which is no small feat lately.

I have to remember how nice this is, and try to convince myself to do it every week 🙂

So, what is This Week in Pictures?

It’s a roundup of the little (and big!) moments I have captured all week. Some of these images are posted on Instagram, but many aren’t posted anywhere but here. Some days there may be no photos, and other days there may be multiples.

Saturday

Visited Mom today, like I do most Saturdays, and we took a walk around the neighborhood, and then came back to her back yard. There are pretty flowers blooming all over.

Sunday

I usually start the day on my laptop, but today I feel like going analog 🙂

Edited to add: I forgot #memademay starts today, but I am coincidentally wearing my Fancypants PJ bottoms, which I sewed two years ago in some lovely Shop Cabin fabric I picked up from Hawthorne Supply Co. 💗

Thursday

I don’t think I will ever get tired of starting my day with one of these cheery mugs.

Friday

I’m improvising my latest project, using a few different sources as inspiration, but I’m not sure I’m going to finish it. For one thing, I based the color scheme off of a pair of cool (and very expensive) sandals I treated myself to. But the sandals felt terrible on my feet, and I’ve returned them. So disappointing. And now I’ve run out of navy blue yarn and I really don’t want to buy more. And don’t get me started about the million ends I need to weave in, LOL! My interest in finishing this silly little hat is starting to wane.
