Raise your hand if you went a little crazy recently and published three new playlists in the space of a few weeks?
Nobody? Just me then. 🤣
April Fools
So, yes, it was still April when I published this one. I just never got around to talking about it, which seems to be par for the course these days…
This mix is comprised of mostly new stuff, with about 1/4 of it being older tunes from the 60’s through the late 90’s. I made an effort to use mostly tracks that have a little bit of oomph to them, because I feel like I have to make up for all of the Quiet Time mixes that I’ve been cranking out, LOL!
Coffee and Keyboard 2
I listen to music at work a lot, and sometimes I really need wordless tunes in order to concentrate. Each playlist in the Coffee and Keyboard series is made up of 2-ish hours of instrumental music in a variety of styles. This one has some film scores, some acoustic tunes, some ethnic music, and a bunch of other stuff.
Sometimes instrumentals are sleepy, but these mostly are not. The idea here is to be non-boring but also non-distracting.
Nineties Mix Tape
I really feel like I developed my musical taste in the 90’s. As such there’s already plenty of music from my favorite 90s artists in my previous playlists. It occurred to me recently, though, that there is a LOT of music from that era that somehow has never made it to a playlist, even though I listened to it a lot at the time.
So, this is my way of rectifying that. It’s 36 tracks that I enjoyed back when they were popular, but never put on a mix tape (at least none that I could find… I’m convinced there’s a box somewhere in the garage with at least 2 or 3 “lost” tapes, but so far they have eluded my searches).
Happy Listening!
