If you have clicked on this link in search of a way to show a little bit of appreciation for the many hours of free blog content I produce, well first let me say Thank You! I do this for the love of it, but it’s also very exciting when I receive the occasional bit of financial encouragement. There are many ways to show your support, some of which actually don’t cost you anything!
Subscribe on your Kindle.
Polka Dot Cottage is now available on the Kindle for a small monthly fee. Most of that fee goes to Amazon to cover the cost of transmitting the blog to your device, but I do see a percentage of it. While some people may balk at paying for content that is normally free, those of you who have fallen in love with the carry-along convenience of the Kindle may feel it is worth it to have each new post automatically loaded up alongside your current book selections. There’s a 14-day free trial, so you can see if you agree.
Buy something I made.
My gift shop isn’t always open, but any time it is, you are encouraged to stop buy and get yourself a little something handmade.
Buy a tutorial.
I have my download shop stocked and ready to teach you something about polymer clay, sewing, knitting, and more.
Buy a book.
I curate an amazon-powered book shop, filled with all manner of favorite reading materials and crafty supplies that I heartily recommend. I get a small commission from each purchase in the shop.
Support one of my sponsors.
I belong to a few ad networks and affiliate programs, and I sell direct advertising as well. Clicking on any of the ad spots and making a purchase either encourages the sponsors to continue to advertise, or earns me a small commission (depending on the type of ad).
You could have one of the above mentioned spots for your own business. More information on that here.
Fund my coffee habit.
Starbucks lets you give a coffee e-card in any amount you like. Check it out here. (My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org)
Or, try this:
Buy a little something from my wish list.
This would be a thrilling little surprise. And I am a big supporter of buying used, so that Billy Joel CD that’s been on my wish list for nine years? Forget buying new. It can be had pre-owned for 2 cents (last time I checked). I’m totally ok with that. Here’s a link to my list.
Toss some coins into the tip jar.
How much to give is entirely up to you. No amount too small. I mean it!
Do something for free.
If you would still like to show appreciation and none of the above options work for you, then the best thing you can do for me is to be a participant! Leave comments, retweet my posts, list my blog on your blog’s sidebar (grab the code below, if you’d like a button).
Or, promote Polka Dot Cottage through your favorite social media.
Thanks again for your support. No matter which form it takes, it is greatly appreciated!
