The last time I went from really long hair to really short hair, I bought myself a pair of earrings on Etsy to celebrate my new look. They were made of oxidized copper findings and turquoise beads, and I loved them. I loved them so much, that last year I decided it would be fun to make myself a few more similar pairs with some freshwater pearls I had been saving.
I picked up some great rustic copper components on Etsy, and put together a few pairs. This white one is my favorite, and I wear it all. the. time.
Actually, I should clarify that: These particular earrings are a copy of those favorites. I misplaced the originals last weekend. {pout} Luckily I still had all of the pieces in my stash, so I made this new identical pair last night! At least, I think they’re identical. I can’t entirely remember how I made that original pair, but these are close enough to make me happy.
The combination of the oxidized copper with the expensive pearls delivers such an appealing contrast. Don’t you agree? I took a gamble that we might, perhaps, be in agreement on this point, and I used up the rest of my copper findings and some of my precious coin pearls to make another several pairs for you.
There are a few different varieties available, based on the copper pieces I had left. I don’t plan to custom-make these, but if you like what I have already made, I hope you’ll place an order. They’re ready to ship. If enough of them sell, I’ll buy more copper parts and whip up some more, in new configurations. (I do hope you’ll give me an excuse to do that – it sounds like fun.)
Have a fabulous weekend, my friends!
I wish me a merry Christmas, I wish me a merry Christmas…
I’m in selfish mode today. What can I say?
I am in that mode myself, far more often than I care to admit 😉 Thanks for the order!
