Picture Spring, week two

I like to do these photo-centric things on Friday.  Looks like I missed the boat.  Let’s just pretend I posted this on Friday, and I won’t include my images from today or yesterday, just to make it more believable.  (Don’t you just love it when we can all take a group trip into Fantasy Land together?)

P.S. Have you noticed the little blog makeover I did?  I made a handful of cosmetic changes that make me happy, but then I also removed some of the slow-loading widgets from the sidebar.  I hope you will find that the pages load faster for you!  Please keep me informed of any wonky bits you may find while you’re here, so that I can fix them.  Oh, and I won’t refuse lavish praise for a job well done if you want to offer that too. <grin>

Ok, so, more Picture Spring?  Yes.

Things are starting, ever so slowly, to bloom around here finally.  It’s been a long winter, and I have the pictures from last year to prove it!  That’s one of my favorite things about blogging – having a record of what was happening this time last year, and the year before, and the year before that.  It keeps the recent past more alive for me.  If you’re a blogger, have you found that, too?

  1. Hey Lis! I’m not a fan of the new layout… you have a huge white column on the right!

Here’s a screenshot for you on my FB page..

I tagged you in the screenshot.

  2. oh, it’s google chrome…

    1. Oh! that’s one thing I forgot to do – check it in browsers other than Firefox… Thanks for the reminder. I’ll see if I can get it to look better in Chrome (since you’re right – it looks kind of awful there). Thanks!

    2. I just checked it in FF, IE, and GC, and aside from a centering issue in IE (which I fixed) they all look fine. Maybe it just loaded strangely for you the first time? I did notice that it didn’t load the new background image. Maybe try refreshing the page. If it still looks weird, let me know. I appreciate the help in troubleshooting!

  3. Love the new layout (& the 🙂 at the bottom)! It’s like hidden pictures!

    1. Thanks for the feedback 🙂 I actually didn’t put that smile there – I think it came with WordPress, or maybe some plugin that I am using. It’s cute and friendly, isn’t it? 🙂
