Ah, spring. Things are blooming, windows are open, kids are bringing home trees-in-a-bag to plant. I love spring.

Oh, thank you! I was just thinking how much I’d like a dogwood, and not 24 hours later, my son walks off the school bus with one. What a fun little coincidence that was!
Spring is my favorite time of year. Years ago for Mother’s day I planted a dogwood in her yard. I kicked myself after she died-I wished that I would have taken a start from that bush for my own yard in memory. Maybe it’s time to go buy one and plant it.

My parents had a dogwood in their front yard when I was growing up. I wish it was still there – it was always a great backdrop for photos in the spring.
