NOTE: If you received an email notification about this post multiple times today, please accept my apology! I am trying to work through some kinks with my mailing service, and the message accidentally went out more than once to some people. I’m looking into solutions before my next blog post. Thank you for your patience!

Greetings, friends! What a busy several weeks it has been here at Polka Dot Cottage World Headquarters!
Polymer Claycation was the second week of November. And ever since then, every spare moment I’ve had has gone to clay-related endeavors.

I had added three events to my calendar this year, in addition to the one Maker’s Market I do every December, so I spent every weeknight and weekend making more pieces, considering my table displays, and lugging my work to and from one venue after another. I don’t know how people do this every weekend, all season long! Four events seems to be my limit, at least as long as I still have a full-time job I can’t ignore.
This past weekend was my last in-person event for the season–though I do still have one table set up at the Sussex County Arts and Heritage Council until January, if you were thinking you’d like to see my stuff, but don’t care whether I am there with it or not 😁

Anyway, before I could let out one big exhaaaaaaale after my last event this weekend, I had a bit more work to do. I had to put what was left of all of those new pieces I made on my website. And I had to remove any older pieces that sold. That took a couple of days, but as of last night, I am 100% finished, and my online inventory is as accurate as it is going to be. It’s very accurate, LOL.
If you’re doing some gift shopping right now, may I suggest a seam ripper? I made a LOT of those recently, and I’ve got plenty left. I may be a victim of my own success, where those are concerned. This past weekend I heard a lot of “oh, I bought one of your seam rippers last time, and it’s my favorite tool!” And then they kept walking, because who needs more than one fabulous seam-ripping tool in their sewing kit?

Maybe you rarely have seams to rip? I’ve also added oodles of crochet hooks, pens, buttons, rings, bracelets, basically all. of. the. things.
And I will literally drop everything I’m doing to pack up your order and stick it in the mailbox. Same day. Or next day, if it’s past Post Office hours 😁

I have to run. There’s a Day Job that needs me. But hopefully I will be back soon. I have a monster blog post that is nearly finished that I want to publish. And I’d really like to share a bit about this year’s Polymer Claycation, too.
In the meantime, if you have any questions about my work, or any difficulties with the shop, please let me know! I do a lot of my own tinkering on this website, and if I’ve inadvertently broken something, I rely on my lovely customers to tell me so 😁
Merry Merry!
