- Thousands of Albums. Completely Free. Completely Legal. – at NoiseTrade. Do you know about NoiseTrade? They’re a terrific source for new music. It’s all free! If you like it, you are encouraged to leave a donation for the artist, but it’s not required. My favorite thing to download is samplers that include a wide selection of artists – I’ve discovered some great new-to-me bands this way.
- How to Choose Your Next EOS Camera – a detailed guide from The Andrew S. Gibson photography blog. My Canon DSLR is nearly 4 years old, and while it’s still working fine for me, I became curious this week as to what the next step would be if I wanted to replace it. This thorough guide to camera models and differences between them has pretty much confirmed for me that I should not upgrade at this time. My wallet is relieved. If you’re thinking about a new camera, you’ll want to read this.
- Hey Loom Knitters, This One is For You! Loom Knit a Blanket with Good Knit Kisses – from Lion Brand Notebook. I’ll admit I’m not a big fan of loom-knit blankets in general, but the stitch pattern on this one is really nice. Plus, it looks like you can use the same pattern to make a wash cloth, if you’re not ready to commit to a blanket size just yet!
- Pieced Napkins – a sewing project from The Purl Bee. You probably know I love LOVE using cloth napkins on a daily basis. You may not know, though, that I am pretty lazy when it comes to stitching them: the quicker and easier the better. That is why I will not be making these pieced napkins, but I do love the way they look and I hope a more patient sewist among you will whip of few of these up sometime 🙂
