[UPDATE as of October 2022: Nine years ago, I published this blog post, because I had taken my three loom-knitting eBooks and put them together into a single collection. That collection is no longer available, but I do have the three individual patterns (plus two new ones) available in the Loom Knitting section of the Download Shop.]
I’ve got Christmas knitting on my mind, and I suspect I am not the only one. I am making headbands/earwarmers for some of the women on my gift list, and I love that I can whip up one per night. (More on those in a future post.)
For now, let me just tell you, if you are looking for a one-night project, you can’t go wrong with a Fiesta Hat. If you have two nights to spare, you might want to try a Luxurious Loom-Knit Neckwarmer. And if you’ve got a wee bit more time than that, you can loom a Striped Sock Puppet. All of these patterns use Polka Dot Cottage focal buttons, which you can get here, if you don’t have your own supply of big fancy buttons.
Here are all of the Loom Knitting patterns I currently have available:

Oh, and there is one more option for you, if you just can’t begin to think about adding knitting to your holiday to-do list, I have a handful of ready-made Fiesta Hats and one Neckwarmer available in the Handmades Shop. Take a look, but hurry! The shop closes this weekend and doesn’t re-open until 2013. [Sorry, these are long gone!]
