I think I’ve figured out something about you. Your eyes kind of glaze over when I start talking about apps and kindles and downloads and stuff like that, don’t they?
You’re not really a nerd, are you?
Ok, I can accept that. Let’s talk about something else, then. I’m kind of in the mood to revel in Autumn right now. How about you?
I have been resisting turning on the heat, just so that I could wear my new sweater, sit under my favorite lap quilt, and sip a warm beverage. I feel like too much heat in the house would rob me of some of early Fall’s simple pleasures.
My evenings this week have been spent knitting Aidan’s sweater. I’m probably still less than a quarter of the way through it, but it’s a nice easy knit and good busy-work in front of the tv.
I am also feeling the urge to finish the quilts I started for the boys several months ago. The nights are getting chilly…
There’s something about October. It brings with it this urge to seek out the warmth of handmade objects, and to wrap our loved ones in that same warmth. Do you feel it, too?
yes, I feel it. Started knitting armwarmers for my girl (7) this week. Also, I am a lurking nerd that bought your skirt this morning. we do exist.
Oh, so nice to know that there is a kindred spirit out there 🙂 Thanks for buying the pattern – hope you like it!
I know I will. Thanks.
I’m not a nerd?! Really?!!
Yippeeeeeee!
I can’t wait to tell my daughter that I have it on paper that I’m not a nerd! After about 39 years of that label I am finally freeeeeeeee!
Heh. Glad I could help. Although you should probably take it with a grain of salt, given the source… 🙂
Cmon, I am not a nerd. I need to knit one for my daughter too. Hahaha. Really nice post. Keep it up.
Naaaah, none of us are nerds at all. Not even a little bit 🙂
