Hello, friends. You chose a hot day to drop by! Mid-nineties, and all that.
Good thing I have a few chilled mugs of Strawberry-Lemonade Smoothie. Take one and have a sip – you won’t be sorry!
They’re made with the farmers market strawberries that I froze last week. There’s something about knowing where your ingredients come from that makes food that much more delicious, don’t you think?
You still look a bit warm to me. Kick off your flip-flops, pull up a chair, and dip your feet in the pool. There. Now, doesn’t that feel better? Yeah, I thought so.
The beauty of a day like this is that we really don’t have to have much to say. Sipping frozen strawberries, making little waves in the kiddie pool with our feet, enjoying a spot in the shade. That’s conversation enough for me.
In Snohomish, it is 61 degrees and overcast. The local paper even saw fit to create a front page story about it: http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/local/366157_weather07.html.
I find it funny just how varied the climates can be in different areas of the same country on any one day. I guess it shouldn’t come as a surprise, given our size, but it still does sometimes. Hope it’s warmed up a bit for you by now.
I always look forward to summer but dread the heat wave! We suffer from ungodly humidity and dew point! Is that the same for you? Keep cool and enjoy that pool! Kashoan
New Jersey humidity can be pretty bad, yeah. Usually when I give in and put on the AC, it’s to get rid of the stickiness more than the heat.
I love looking at your photos.
Thanks, Linda! I’m enjoying playing with my new camera and learning to take better pictures.
Hi- I love reading your blog. And yes- I love the pictures too!
Thanks, Nancy! It’s always nice to see a local face pop in 🙂
Yum! That drink sounds delish, can’t wait to try it!
One of my kids didn’t want his, so I had two of them that day. I could seriously gain a ton of weight eating nothing but strawberry lemonade smoothies all summer, LOL!
