And the catch-up continues

One Object 365 Days: 15/365 01/15/08

I’m five days behind in my order processing. Five days. It sounds like a lot, but actually when you consider that five days ago I was about three weeks behind, it sure looks a whole lot better, doesn’t it? icon_biggrin-flickr-5-3 So progress, albeit slow, is being made.

Watching

You know, I really love my Christmas vacation, but the January aftermath is often rather rough. This year feels worse than ever. Some of my customers have been waiting for some time and are getting antsy. And who could blame them? I advertised my vacation on every page of the store, and when I returned I made sure to note the catch-up time on every page as well. The warning is still there as we speak. Still, even with all that, I feel bad that I haven’t gotten everyone packed up and on their way yet.

I’m really really hoping I can catch up by the end of the week. I’ll be out of town for three days starting Saturday, and I’d prefer not to have all of this hanging over my head while I’m gone, or waiting for me when I get back. Wish me luck.

The Blog of the Beast?

In other news, it’s been a record-breaking day for page views around here. The previous record of 600 was set on November 30th, when all of the finalists in that month’s Color Challenge went a little bonkers telling all of their friends and linking here. At the same time, there was a legion of crazy people trying to win the color scheme naming contest. That was a fun day. Heh. (I say “bonkers” and “crazy people” with love, of course.)

Today the Color Challenge was mentioned on the Sew Mama Sew blog, and the Evolution of a Color Scheme series was mentioned at CraftGossip, sending the blog’s page views [relatively] sky high. The number we hit before the counter was reset at 7pm (which is Midnight GMT) was 666. We are now officially The Blog of the Beast.

Not really sure I’m liking that title, but I’m going to be seeing that 666 number until the record is once again broken. This means all of you loyal readers will need to tell about thirty friends to drop by and read a couple of pages each tomorrow. I’m sure I can count on you to help me right? I thought so. That is why I love you all icon_wink-flickr

And now, if you will excuse me, I have some orders to process…

  1. Hey Lisa….are you behind on orders?

:::::laffs maniacally and runs like hell:::::::::

    1. Now, was that productive?? If you lived closer I’d punish you by making you charge credit cards and print postage. 😛

  2. if I lived closer I would gladly offer to help. many hands make large task small. And of course it wasn’t productive. The partner is away at a conference so I have to have someone to pester *eg*

  3. I saw your mention on Sew, Mama, Sew, that’s awesome. Congrats!

(I think I see my little buttons in there and I can’t wait to get them)

    1. That was cool, wasn’t it? And yep, those are your buttons. I threw in an extra one just for fun 🙂
