More fun than a jar full of pens

New pens

I love making pens. I love putting coordinating pens in a mason jar. I love it when I have even more than six coordinating pens in a mason jar. Maybe I’ll make more pens this week icon_biggrin-flickr-5

New claythings

Am I being a tease with all of this stuff?  All of these in-progress shots?  I hope you’re not going to ask me to stop – it’s just so much fun!  My shipment of findings arrived today, so I’ve got some finished earrings & pendants ready to be scanned and listed in the shop on Saturday.  Such fun!

I’m loving reading your submissions in the color scheme naming contest.  I have to admit that I thought of a name on my own, too…  None of you has picked it yet but if anybody does, boom!  Contest over, you win on the spot, LOL! And if nobody picks it, that will be ok – I think several of yours are good contenders.

Our own pharmacy

Neil has been home with a fever for three days.  Yesterday the coughing started, and today he came home from his doctor visit armed with a list of medicines to take.  The verdict is probably walking pneumonia, which basically means he’s going to be laying around on the couch, coughing, and drinking all of my water into next week icon_wink-flickr-3-5

You remember those commercials where the guy places a glass of red wine on one side of a mattress and drops a bowling ball on the other side of it, and the glass doesn’t spill?  Well, think of me as the delicate wine glass, and Neil in the midst of a coughing fit as the bowling ball.  Only in our case, there is red wine all over the place.  I want a new mattress.

And, of course, for Neil to feel better. Poor guy.

  3. As I already said on flickr – I love your new color scheme! Now I have a question. There are some great ring blanks in your baking tray – may I ask where you get these? Are they sterling? I’m looking for channel ring blanks for so long and never succeeded…can you help?

Please tell Neil I hope he feels better soon. I know what’s it’s like to have a very sick, coughing husband, and no, it’s not fun. 🙁

    1. I only made the Bic style pens at the moment… It’s more complicated to make the others, and I haven’t managed to drag out those supplies…
