I need to let the pictures speak for themselves this week. It’s Friday night as I write this, and I am late for a date with my 16-year-old, some knitting, and an episode of Scarecrow and Mrs. King ☺
So, what is This Week in Pictures?
It’s a roundup of the photos I shot for Project 365 (one image each day for all of 2016), plus some snapshots I posted on Instagram during the previous week.

Ready? Cast your mind back to this time last week…
Saturday
365 📱: 2016 310/366 – Just a few hours into my first craft fair in 6 years, and I’ve already made more sales than I did at that last event all those years ago. [Taken at the Long Hill Library.]
Sunday
365 📱: 2016 311/366 – My family has been taking turns coming to hang out at my table. Today I have the pleasure of my 13-year-old’s company. [Taken at the Long Hill Library.]
Monday
365 📷: 2016 312/366 – Well, my craft show is over, and I’m really pleased with how it went! I’m tired, though, and I really, really don’t want to clean up this mess…
Tuesday
365 📷: 2016 313/366 – My shiny shoes and I cast our vote today, and we feel really good about our choice.
Wednesday
365 📷: 2016 314/366 – So, spoiler alert: there’s a surprise twist at the end of Election 2016. I give it two emphatic thumbs down. The sky here is dark and foreboding, and it kind of feels that way in my head right now, too. I needed to open a new bag of coffee this morning, so I’ve reached for the Bright Sky Blend in an effort to feel even a hint of optimism about everything that has transpired in the last 24 hours. I’ll let you know when it’s started to work.
Thursday
365 📷: 2016 315/366 – So the new Starbucks holiday cups are out. I’ve been staying away from the news for the last few days, so I don’t know if anyone is outraged about these yet 😉
Friday
365 📷: 2016 316/366 – Hi. It’s time for me to pull supper out of my, er, I mean, time for me to prepare a lovingly-made meal for my family.
Thanks for taking a peek at this week’s photos! If you want to see this stuff as it happens, please feel free to follow me on Flickr and/or Instagram.
I may already have plans to blog about some of these things in greater detail over the coming week, but be sure to leave a comment if there’s something in particular you want to know about!
I’m glad your weekend was a success. Is the cascade yarn in your beautiful red sweater itchy? I have not used that before. Wool eats me up : (
I haven’t worn the red one enough to say, but I’ve worn the rainbow one a lot, and that was also knit with Cascade. It’s surprisingly soft, I think. That may be because I gave it a 15 minute Soak bath before I wore it. That stuff really helps relax the fibers.
There’s not enough coffee to heal my fear of our future
I know what you mean. I’m trying to be optimistic, but it’s not easy!
All very nice photos. I like how you are waving to us in the last photo. I can’t allow myself to think about the election. Most of my time is spent comforting my teenager’s anxiety about it all.
Thanks 😊 Same here with one of my teenagers. We’ve been listening to Christmas music in the car. It’s waaaaay early, but we’re enjoying the escapism of it all.
Your sweater came out so cute! Red is a good color on you! Love the red polish and polka dot phone to go with it. 🙂
Wishing you peace…xo
It’s funny how much red I was rocking when I took that picture. It really wasn’t planned!
Thanks 💙
