I got a hair cut on Thursday after letting it grow for six months, and I was all set to take a photo to mark the occasion, when I realized I already had two selfies this week. I try not to go overboard with that – seeing my face more than once in a weekly mosaic makes me feel all kinds of narcissistic. Bleh.
So, no hair cut picture this week. But next week it’s fair game 🙂
I’ve been multi-crafty this week. Actually, I’ve had quite a bit of variety in most aspects of life, which is pretty cool. There’s still a lot on my to-do list, but I’m making progress.
Also, I’ve been kind of a shutterbug. I’m enjoying having a new phone that takes decent pictures!
So, what is This Week in Pictures?
It’s a roundup of the photos I shot with my DSLR for Project 365 (one image each day for all of 2015), plus some phone snapshots I posted on Instagram during the previous week.
Ready? Cast your mind back to this time last week…
Saturday
365: 2016 2/366 – It’s Saturday. Also known as Bagel Day. Mmmmm.[At O’Bagel. Taken with my phone.]
Sunday
365: 2016 3/366 – When my family has time off from work/school, I have this inconvenient tendency to also take time off from housework. We’re all out of clean forks. And probably other things, too. It’s back to Real Life (TM) tomorrow, so I’ll vanquish the growing intelligence in the sink then 😀
Monday
365: 2016 4/366 – Getting things done today. Up now: laundry and last night’s Downton Abbey.
Tuesday
365: 2016 5/365 – It’s pretty cold today. It seemed like a good day to meet the kids at the door with some hot chocolate (and coffee for me).
Wednesday
365: 2016 6/366 – I can’t help but think that maybe NJ sold January to the devil in exchange for that wonderfully mild December we enjoyed. What is up with this cold? I almost snapped my ice scraper in two! I’ve been back in the house for 30 minutes and still have my hat on. It’s taking a while to warm myself up.
Thursday
365: 2016 7/365 – I’m very out-of-practice when it comes to flipping pancakes. These things are kind of a distorted mess. Yummy, though. Recipe here: wp.me/p4Yz3-uS I used entirely white whole wheat flour, and they weren’t at all too wheaty tasting.
Friday
365: 2016 8/366 – Sometimes I need to take the show on the road in order to make sure I don’t get distracted at home 🙂 Today I spent a few hours at Starbucks, having breakfast and getting the current batch of ornament orders organized. Definitely going to start working on them this weekend! [At Starbucks. Taken with my phone.]
Thanks for taking a peek at this week’s photos! If you want to see this stuff as it happens, please feel free to follow me on Flickr and/or Instagram.
I may already have plans to blog about some of these things in greater detail over the coming week, but be sure to leave a comment if there’s something in particular you want to know about!
Oh, my goodness! What beautiful photos! I love Downton Abbey…so sad that this is the last season…maybe they will come up with something equally good?!
Thank you 😊 I love pretty much anything that shows up on Masterpiece, so I’m sure it won’t be too, too painful when it ends, much as I enjoy it!
LOVE the purple cardigan in coffee pic.
Thanks! It’s the Striped Cardigan pattern I have in my shop ☺
