Fallen leaves, brilliant golds and reds against the sky, handknit sweaters, hearty soups? Definitely fall.
We’re staying home this weekend for a change. Maybe I’ll get to finish knitting Neil’s sweater once and for all 🙂
So, what is This Week in Pictures?
It’s a roundup of the photos I shot with my DSLR for Project 365 (one image each day for all of 2015), plus some phone snapshots I posted on Instagram during the previous week.
Ready? Cast your mind back to this time last week…
Saturday
365: 2015 290/365 – On the periphery of the Ravelry get-together at the NYS Sheep and Wool Festival (aka Rhinebeck) this afternoon. This year I did not remain on the periphery, but wandered into the crowd and even mingled a bit. Thank you, everyone who stopped and said hello! It was nice to have some conversations this time around 🙂 [in Rhinebeck, NY]
Sunday
365: 2015 291/364 – Sunday morning in New Paltz. Very chilly! Glad I brought my heaviest sweater for the drive home. [in New Paltz, NY]
Monday
365: 2015 292/365 – Frost. I had to scrape ice off of the windshield this morning. I’m not ready for this. [Taken with my phone]
Tuesday
365: 2015 293/365 – I’ve been working on some improvements to the download shop. I spent all day in this chair, nerding out over it. I’m not done yet, but it’s close. I’m really happy with the way it’s going!
Wednesday
365: 2015 294/365 – Earlier in the week it was really chilly and I bought soup ingredients. Then I got busy with other stuff and didn’t make the soup. Today, when it was 75 degrees, I made it. It wasn’t bad, but it would have been better if it were a cold day 🙂
Thursday
365: 2015 295/365 – Vintage 1960’s stuff in my living room: Neil’s parents bought the table brand new, and we’ve had for the last 20+ years. (it’s been replaced this month [which is why it’s no longer in the dining room], but still hasn’t gone out the door…) The pile of granny squares is from a sweater that my great-grandmother crocheted for my mother. I’m going to be re-assembling it into some kind of small throw.
Friday
365: 2015 296/365 – What a beautiful Fall day it was today!
Thanks for taking a peek at this week’s photos! If you want to see this stuff as it happens, please feel free to follow me on Flickr and/or Instagram.
I may already have plans to blog about some of these things in greater detail over the coming week, but be sure to leave a comment if there’s something in particular you want to know about!
The air certainly has begun to have that chill in it! I don’t mind though, it’s my favourite season 🙂
Rhinebeck looked amazing! One day I hope to go 🙂
I feel the same way about fall 🙂
I met quite a few people at Rhinebeck who had traveled great distances to be there. I was surprised! I even met someone who’d come from the UK.
Rhinebeck looks fabulous!! Awesome photos!!:)
Thanks 🙂 It was! I wish I hadn’t been the one doing the driving on the way home, because the scenery was begging to be photographed. It was gorgeous!
