Weekend Favorites

Good morning! Normally on this day in January, I would be packing my bags in preparation for the Clayathon, but not this year. This year, it has moved to a weekend in February, one where I have long-standing family plans and cannot attend. It will be the first Clayathon I have ever missed.

I’m a little sad about that – there’s so much to love about Clayathon weekend for me – but at the same time, it will be nice to be home for this 3-day weekend with my family for once. Not to mention the fact that my dining room can stay clean a little bit longer, if I’m not pulling clay supplies out of the cabinet and trying to figure out what to pack!

Around the Web

I spend some time each day, Monday through Thursday, sharing my favorite crafty links through social media. And then I repeat them here on Fridays.

Crafty Business

Have a wonderful weekend – do something crafty! Personally, I think it’s time to make a few new everyday pillow covers for my living room. I’ve got an order of Giraffe print fabric on its way…

  1. Dear Lisa,
I’m still a big fan of yours and wanted to thank you for sharing with your readers every Friday! I think you asked in one of your posts if we have any suggestions as to how to improve this blog. Well, I have a tiny weeny one – why don’t you give a short description to the pictures on Flicr instead of giving just a few keywords or sometimes even numbers? I’d appreciate that – this way, it would be clear immediately what the picture is about.
Have a nice weekend – even without Clayathon! 🙂

    1. Thanks for the feedback! THe thing is, since those pictures were not taken by me, I don’t always *know* what they are about. I use Big Huge Labs Mosaic Maker, and it generates the mosaic of my favorites, as well as the links back to the original photos below it. You can always click through on those links, if you want more information. Sometimes the photographer has provided a detailed description (although, sometimes they have not provided anything at all!).

I hope that clears it up a little bit. I’m glad you spoke up!

  2. nice list hope you get it all done

  3. Great idea inspiration and encouragement!
