I spent all day Monday getting that vlog off the ground, and then I disappeared, not to be seen anywhere near the blog since. So I’m checking in so you see I am still alive, but I’m keeping it short and sweet because I’m too tired to string too many sentences together at this time of night.
In a nutshell, I’ve found a couple of smaller crochet hooks + some leftover balls of Malabrigo worsted in my stash, and have been learning to make a few kinds of flowers.
Including a fun little clip for my hair (you may have noticed I wore it in the vlog).
Then I used what I learned and tried the granny square thing again. Much much better this time.
Technically, I have learned exactly what I set out to learn – how to finish off some of Granny’s granny squares. But now I find I cannot stop. I bought fabric today, and some yarn – for a sewn Summer top with crochet yoke. Looks like I’ve been captured by another craft. Here we go again…

YEAH! C’mon over to the dark side! The “knitting group” I attend here sometimes is mostly crocheters right now.
Do you have directions for the flowers? I’m knitting a hat and I think a flower on the side would be cute!
