As you can see, the tree is up. We haven’t put the ornaments on it yet, but who needs ornaments when you’ve got all of these pretty lights to play with? I’m a Christmas light bokeh addict, if ever there was one.

This is one of those weeks where I just haven’t had a whole lot of my own inspiration, so it’s been nice to have photo prompts to push me in some direction.

It’s been a weird week. I forgot to do Thursday’s photo, so I doubled-up on Friday. I have decided to be laid-back about this photo-a-day thing for this month. I still want to do every prompt, but I might not shoot every day. And I’m cool with that.

I have spent all year capturing my mornings, but I find it hard to be innovative when I spend most of my morning hours in the office, where I have very little control over lighting and atmosphere, and more importantly, where I have a job to do that does not involve photographing my breakfast. So, I’ve been feeling a bit uninspired with My Year of Mornings, which is why I jumped at the change to participate in Picture the Holidays again.
