This has been such a pretty week. While many of the leaves have already fallen from the trees, what remains is so deep, vibrant, and saturated with color.
I have a pair of cheap sunglasses that I bought at Target, and they have a way of transforming everyday scenery into breathtaking color. One of these days, I will put my glasses in front of the camera lens as a filter so you can see what I see.
September used to be my favorite month, but I think October has officially taken over. ♥♥♥
So, what is This Week in Pictures?
It’s a roundup of the photos I shot for my Project 365, plus some everyday-life images I posted on Instagram during the previous week. (FYI, my daily photo project this year has changing monthly themes. October’s them was Fall [of course!])
Ready? Cast your mind back to this time last week…
Saturday
365: Fall 25/31 – Aidan outgrew his old Drew t-shirt and asked for another. It’s hard to say no to visiting Drew in the fall. So pretty.
Sunday
365: Fall 26/31 – It was a windy day. I tried to capture blowing leaves swirling in the air in front of me, but they blew out of the frame too quickly. The background (which was out of focus on purpose) ended up being the foreground by default.
Monday
365: Fall 27/31 – Amber waves of whatever this stuff is, in the afternoon sun.
Tuesday
365: Fall 28/31 – I think, as far as this particular tree is concerned, fall is over.
Wednesday
365: Fall 29/31 – I got home from a morning of making photography backdrops with my mom, and found this multi-colored leaf on the front steps. It was the perfect excuse to try out one of my new backgrounds.
Thursday
365: Fall 30/31 – This is my neighbor’s tree. I think if I ever get around to replacing any of our fallen trees, I’d like one like this. It’s so pretty in the fall.
Friday
365: Fall 31/31 – Trick or treat 🙂
Thanks for taking a peek at this week’s photos! If you want to see this stuff as it happens, please feel free to follow me on Flickr.
I may already have plans to blog about some of these things in greater detail over the coming week, but be sure to leave a comment if there’s something in particular you want to know about!
Thanks Lisa. Really nice pictures. Same up here in CT, though it does seem like the trees held onto their leaves a but longer this year. After today’s storm, who knows!
Cool photos, Lisa. I like the first one best. The right color and time for a nap.
Very pretty pictures! I love all those orange leaves, especially. 🙂
Thanks – I just can’t get enough of October 🙂
