The Perfect Summer Project

My yarn stash, while not as large as some I have seen, sometimes feels to me like an embarrassment of excess. Happily I have taken a baby step towards reducing my yarn footprint recently, and I wrote all about it on the blog.

I've included plenty of photos, an overview of how I constructed my stash-based blanket, some shop links to a couple of my crochet blanket patterns that teach similar skills, links to my handmade crochet hooks (I have twenty-something in stock, in lots of brightly-colored designs), and more.

A modular project (like a granny square blanket) is the perfect take-along summer project. Throw a few balls of yarn in your bag, and whip up some granny squares at the beach - plenty of instant gratification to be had there, without a heavy pile of wool on your lap 🙂
