About Family Portrait Ornaments

These special keepsakes are made to your specifications. Choose the number of family members, and add pets, if desired. I’ll send you a form to fill out where you can describe each family member in as much detail as you like, and include a photo, if you wish. While it is possible to make ornaments with several adult family members, please keep in mind that they will get heavier with each additional person, making them tricky to hang on a tree.

There is nothing inherently Christmassy about these ornaments, though (unless you request it), so there’s no reason why you must hang yours on a tree. Many customers tell me they display their ornaments year round.

Made entirely from durable polymer clay, the color and finish on these ornaments is inherent in the clay. No paints or sealers are used, so there is no possibility of the colors chipping. Unlike my other polymer clay work, these ornaments have not been vigorously sanded or buffed. People should not be shiny 🙂

Each ornament comes with the year and my initials (LRC) written in permanent ink on the back and may be personalized by request.

Due to the fact that these items are handmade, and each one is made to order, you can expect your ornament to look different than those in the example gallery, but it should be recognizable as a stylized version of your family!
