TWiP: The plural form of Flax

This Week in Pictures, Week 49, 2021

It was a full week. I’m thinking about how to refer to multiple Flax sweaters in a grammatically acceptable way, because I finished one Flax and started another this week. I also made more family portrait ornaments, and moved permanently out of the office space that I used to occupy before the pandemic.

This Week in Pictures, Week 47, 2021

Ah, Thanksgiving week. I have always loved Thanksgiving, both for the opportunity to gather with family, and as a harbinger of the Christmas season. But during years such as this one, where I have been gainfully employed, I have also come to appreciate Thanksgiving for the four-day weekend it provides 🙂

I don’t know how the time manages to pass so quickly, but it always does. It’s August already. I feel like the summer just started, and yet we’re only a few short weeks away from pumpkin latte season. I’m starting to feel a little desperate to make sure I’ve availed myself of enough summer joy while it’s still here.

TWiP: Peony Petals

The Week in Pictures, Week 22, 2021

Peony season ended in an explosion of pink petals on my kitchen counter. I always want more time with these gigantic blooms. I must say, though, when they’ve decided they’ve had enough, they self destruct magnificently, in voluminous piles, photogenic in their own right.
