This past weekend was the Clayathon, so you’ll see a lot of my images are dominated by what I made during those three days. I plan to give Clayathon 2022 it’s own dedicated post soon.
We also had an ice storm, which gave me something else to take pictures of 🙂
It’s a roundup of the little (and big!) moments I have captured all week. Some of these images are posted on Instagram, but many aren’t posted anywhere but here. Some days there may be no photos, and other days there may be multiples.
Day one: not as prolific as usual, only 3 canes, two of which are not what I actually had in mind, but that’s ok. I have at least two more canes I want to make in these colors, but I’m surprisingly not in the mood to keep going today. Maybe I will get back to it later 💜 These are a Calico Cane, a Jubilee Cane (ish), and something I improvised when I screwed up my first attempt at the Jubilee Cane 😜. At some point this weekend, slices from these canes will become jewelry or pretty tools. Also posted on Instagram

Day Two: I would have shared this yesterday, but I worked well into the night to finish all of these, and I wanted to wait until I had some daylight for proper photos. Allow me to present my new color scheme. I have not named it yet, but I’m toying with the idea of calling it “purple” for some reason I can’t put my finger on 😁
Today is the last day of Clayathon, and I don’t have any plan at all. I may just make some random stuff for myself and/or a bunch of retro canes to replace the ones I’ve used up over the years 🤔

Day Three: I’m worn out 😁 All of those hours of terrific Zoom programming, plus all of the making… I’m glad I took tomorrow off from work to recover! Here is an image of what I made today. Also posted on Instagram

Welp, it look a lot longer than I intended, but I finally got my shop updated with the new Violet Collection 💜 While I was in there, I found a solution that makes it easier to see all the different individual items. Lisa, you are always so productive at Clayathon, whether it be virtual or live. I honestly believe that you could cane in a tornado. :-).
