Chickens have very strong opinions about music.
Actually, that’s not true. Or, maybe it is. I really know next to nothing about chickens or if they really even notice when music is playing. But this silly playlist cover kind of just made itself, and what was I going to do? Not use it? I don’t think so 🐔😁
Facts About This Playlist
- It starts off with a kind of neo-Sixties sound, which pops up here and there throughout the track listing
- It’s pretty heavy on that mellow indie folk Autumn vibe
- Some of the newer songs reminded me of much, much older songs (or artists), so I mixed in a few older songs among the new ones
- For the older songs, I tried to pick ones that were less popular, so I don’t grow tired of them too soon
- There are no songs about chickens on this playlist
- There are no songs known to specifically appeal to chickens, either
- I started out with a big list of modern Indie/Alt tunes, which I really like, but one-by-one removed them because they just weren’t “Fall” enough
- This playlist includes a Crowded House/Neil Finn song, like more than half of all of my Autumn playlists
- This playlist includes an Innocence Mission/Karen Peris song, like more than half of all of my Autumn playlists
- I think you should listen to this while driving down a country road watching the leaves change
- This would also be nice company while sitting in a cozy chair, sipping a maple cinnamon latte

They’re arranged in reverse chronological order, so you can go back in time as you listen, or just shuffle it for an “Autumn Radio” experience 🍂😊 (It’s nearly 20 hours of music, so it should keep you pretty busy.)
