It’s a roundup of the little (and big!) moments I have captured all week. Most of these images are posted on Instagram, but others aren’t posted anywhere but here. Some days there may be no photos, and other days there may be multiples. It’s more laid back than the Project 365s of previous years. You can learn more here 🙂
Here’s a very short video, featuring 1.5-second moments from the week:
Saturday
Greetings from Starbucks curbsides pickup, where I’m currently rocking a medley of purples, blues, and teals in my hair, courtesy of 20 minutes with #overtoneblueforbrownhair. (The color is more vibrant in person 😯) It’s one color, but it took differently to different areas of my head. The most vibrant, though, are my gray hairs, which are now an electric purple-blue. What I really wanted was green, but I’ve been on the waiting list for that color to come back in stock for so long, I finally gave up and went with blue. It’s all in good (temporary) fun. And there’s plenty more in the jar, so I can do this again sometime, if I feel like it 🙂 (Also in this photo, my rainbow #hitchhikershawl and a #pdcmasks of which there are plenty still in stock in my shop [hint, hint😜])
Trader Joe’s had pussy willows. They look right at home here!
Monday
I finished knitting this sweater yesterday, but there was no time for a photo shoot today. Mondays.
Tuesday
I finished my #oxbowcardigan 🙂. I think this is going to be a super cozy and warm sweater to bum around the house in. These pictures, though, really emphasize to me what I already knew: I gained some weight in the past year. Bleh. I don’t love it, but it is what it is, and I am posting these shots anyway because (1) if I wait until I feel perfect, I will never post another selfie, and (2) like most people, I am my own worst critic, and I know that. So, until I have returned to my own personal best shape, I will keep taking photos, even if I have to creatively crop them to keep myself happy 😁 . 📷s by @clarkesworld Editing and cropping by me 😜 . P.S. That stitch pattern, though! Isn’t it unique and pretty? . P.P.S. I made a little stick thingy to hold it closed. I didn’t like the way it looked on me flopping open.

Maker's Market 2022 (2022) I'll be at Urban Sewciety in Westfield, NJ this Saturday (December 3rd) to participate in the annual Maker's Market! Will I see you there? Read on for instructions for ordering ahead, if you would like me to set something aside for you.
TWiP: Picture the Holidays, Take Three (2018) I have spent all year capturing my mornings, but I find it hard to be innovative when I spend most of my morning hours in the office, where I have very little control over lighting and atmosphere, and more importantly, where I have a job to do that does not involve photographing my breakfast. So, I've been feeling a bit uninspired with My Year of Mornings, which is why I jumped at the change to participate in Picture the Holidays again.
Sponsors for December (2013) Every month I like to thank those who advertise at Polka Dot Cottage, and invite you to check out their shops and services. This month: K and C Supplies
