TWiP: The Days are Getting Darker

This Week in Pictures, Week 47, 2020

Candlelight was the thing this week. I bought some tea lights and have them scattered around the room in various vessels full of rice.

So, what is This Week in Pictures?

It’s a roundup of the microblogging I’ve done on Flickr and Instagram all week. This includes photos I shot for Project 365 and any other extra images I may have posted.

Photos taken with 📷 (Canon EOS 80D) or 📱 (Samsung Galaxy S9).

Ready? Cast your mind back to Saturday last week…

Meet Pebbles, my new fur niece 😂

Sunday

There is a lovely little brook next to the car wash. It’s a nice place to stand and wait for the car to be ready.

Mondays, amirite?

I do not miss mornings in the office. These mornings at home are just right. I usually get dressed and move to my desk after I’ve been working 90 minutes and I am ready for my coffee break. But before that, it’s super relaxed. Usually there’s a comfy couch involved. Sometimes there’s a favorite blanket. It’s a nice way to ease into the job. ☕

Wednesday

A candle and a fake tree. I’m easing into the season. You’ll know it’s really Christmas when I start decorating my desk tree 🙂

Thursday

I decided I need a #conversationalisthat for myself 😁. I love these colors, but I wonder… Would a red pom-pom make it look too Christmassy? 🤔

Friday

I write for a living, but it is the kind of writing that can help you to successfully install and use a cache plugin for your favorite web app, or hook one crocheted hexagon into three others. I’m not particularly good at other kinds of writing, and so today, on the first anniversary of my Dad’s passing, there’s not a lot I can say that would do justice to my thoughts. Instead, I go about my work day wearing one of his funny t-shirts and his flannel shirt, and I drink out of a mug that is decorated on the outside by an image of the blanket I crocheted for him. Cheers, Dad ☕. Miss you.
