If you look at the previous TWiP entries for Week 21 you will find Ocean City, peonies, and my birthday in most of them. This year, I guess I have to settle for one out of three. The beach is a no-go. (It has re-opened, but there is no way we plan to go there while nearly everyone else is ignoring mask-wearing guidelines. No thank you.) The peonies are running late. (It look like maybe the first one will open tomorrow? We’ll see.) But my birthday still happened, and it did not disappoint 🙂
It’s a roundup of the microblogging I’ve done on Flickr and Instagram all week. This includes photos I shot for Project 365 and any other extra images I may have posted.
Photos taken with 📷 (Canon EOS 80D ) or 📱 (Samsung Galaxy S9 ).
Ready? Cast your mind back to Saturday last week…
Saturday Day 16/31: Doors Ajar Neil fired up the grill for the first time this season. He hates the natural hardwood briquettes I bought – getting them to light and stay lit is a challenge 😬(View original Picture Home post on Instagram.)
137/366 These are frozen mixed berries that I picked last summer. They’re about to find their way into some scones.(View original Project 365 post on Flickr.)
Story for Saturday
Sunday Day 17/31: The Royal Treatment I baked last night. I made scones and added some of last summer’s wild berries that we picked from our yard and from the edges of the woods around my office building. They’re mostly #wineberries but we also had a few blackberries and black raspberries mixed in there. Whether or not I am still working from home in July, I have to remember to go to the office then for some berry picking!(View original Picture Home post on Instagram.)
138/366 It’s a good day when there is something home baked for breakfast. Today it’s a wineberry scone. I’m not a scone-making expert. Every time I try it, I am slightly disappointed, but not disappointed in a “never make that again” kind of way. It’s more disappointed in a “keep trying until I get it right!” kind of way.(View original Project 365 post on Flickr.)
Story for Sunday
Monday Day 18/31: Jot it Down I have handwritten notes all over my sewing area to indicate what stage of construction each of the little mask-making piles is in.(View original Picture Home post on Instagram.)
139/365 All of my little mask-making piles, in various stages of completion.(View original Project 365 post on Flickr.)
Tuesday Day 19/31: How Things Stack Up I told Neil I needed to find a stack of something for today’s prompt, and he Jenga’d my steak fries.(View original Picture Home post on Instagram.)
140/366 This is a very meta photo today. I’m super behind on processing my Project 365 (and other) photos.(View original Project 365 post on Flickr.)
Wednesday 141/366 and Day 29/31: Face Time This is what I look like now, to anyone who I don’t live with. I feel the need to reintroduce myself, because it is awfully hard to recognize half-covered faces. When I encounter people on my weekly trips to the bagel shop now, I look at them longer than I should, wondering, “do I know those eyes?” 😷(View original Project 365 post on Flickr.) Thursday 142/366 I’ve been doing so much sewing lately, but my fabric stash is over a decade old. I thought I needed some bright and cheery new pretties to keep me going 😜(View original Project 365 post on Flickr.)
Day 21/31: Check out a Book Crafty books are my weakness. I flipped through this little pile of books for some crochet inspiration a few weeks ago, and they are still in my bedroom.(View original Picture Home post on Instagram.)
Story for Thursday
Friday 14/366 No birthday parties today, for obvious reasons, but I still cleaned the kitchen and hung up some party lights for myself, because I like it that way 🙂(View original Project 365 post on Flickr.)
Day 22/31: Object of Affection Meet Franswis Marsa (aka, presumably, Frances Martha). I named her myself, when I was but a tot 🙂(View original Picture Home post on Instagram.)
I woke up this morning to the muffled laughter of the boys downstairs. Best alarm clock ever. And thus began my quarantine birthday 😊. Thank you, Neil, Aidan, Eamonn, and Brenda for playing along with my filmmaking, and for all of the nice little things you did to make my day special! 💗(View original post on IGTV.)
