TWiP: Knocking on Wood

This Week in Pictures, Week 10, 2020

I just looked at this week in history, and four out of five of my past TWiPs for Week 10 include snow. This sixth one does not include snow, and for that I am very grateful. Maybe we can get through the rest of the next month without any at all!

I’m not superstitious, really, but when I say stuff like that, I feel the urge to knock on some wood 😀

So, what is This Week in Pictures?

It’s a roundup of the microblogging I’ve done on Flickr and Instagram all week. This includes photos I shot for Project 365 and any other extra images I may have posted.

Photos taken with 📷 (Canon EOS 80D) or 📱 (Samsung Galaxy S7).

Ready? Cast your mind back to Saturday last week…

After a busy week, and a nice family party yesterday, this is pretty much all I have been doing today. Working on a single square. Comparing it to the rest, truly proves the point that I knit everything too loosely, and crochet everything too tightly. I’m thinking that it’s just not going to work for me to combine knit and crochet squares in a single blanket, but I will persist anyway for now 🙂

I designed a few new mugs based on the millefiori patterns I developed at the #clayathon this year. If I had unlimited funds, and unlimited cabinet space, I would buy one of each of the mugs in this collection. But I don’t have either of those things, so I just got the “Lapis Jubilee” mug, because it goes so well with my work wardrobe of jeans and a t-shirt 😁.
These #pdcmug mugs are for sale at @zazzle, if you’re interested. There are also several based on my crochet designs, if that’s more your cup of tea. (See what I did there? 😂)
Cheers! ☕

I admit it: I got this matcha latte for the color 😜 Hanging out at Boxwood Coffee with my almost 17-year-old. We took a drive, and then a walk, and then ended up here – it’s such a nice, warm night to be out!

Morning light across my desk. Today’s theme, across all three monitors, is “corners of my home.” Or maybe “places I’d rather be.” 🙂 It’s not necessarily that I don’t want to work, it’s just that I am missing the comforts of home this morning. I feel like a work from home day might do me some good. Maybe next week sometime.

I love the way the party banners look hung around the house, and part of me wants to never take them down. But if I leave them here, then how will we tell the difference between a party day and a normal day? 😀

I worked from home today, and it was so nice to be here when my high-schooler came home. I miss being around in the afternoons, sharing a little snack and a short chat like we used to before I started working outside of the house. Wish I could do this more often!
