There is not an overabundance of purple in my life. I more of a green girl, and I appreciate little bits of any color that looks nice alongside green. But purple? I have nothing against it, but I don’t go out of my way to surround myself with it. So, it’s always a surprise when my weekly mosaic ends up featuring is prominently, like it does this week.
I took a lot of pictures at night, and they led to this plethora of purple. I like it. Nice change of pace. 💜
So, what is This Week in Pictures?
It’s a roundup of the microblogging I’ve done on Flickr and Instagram all week. This includes photos I shot for Project 365 and any other extra images I may have posted.
Photos taken with 📷 (Canon EOS 80D) or 📱 (Samsung Galaxy S7).
Ready? Cast your mind back to this time last week…
Saturday

I made some paper “lanterns” out of battery-powered tea lights and printer paper, but they didn’t stay together very well. They all popped open after this photo. At least I had a few minutes of cozy Saturday morning “candle” light at my desk 🙂
Sunday

The Great Swamp is still mainly green, but there are a few signs of impending fall, if you look for them.
Monday

I’ve had these things flickering nonstop on the windowsill in my bedroom since Friday night! I thought the batteries would have died by now. I’m impressed.
Tuesday

My 16-year-old has taken to dragging me out of the house in the evenings to go to random places. Tonight it was a local park at dusk.
Wednesday

Mid-afternoon refueling.
Thursday

Happiness is a clean desk, candlelight, and peppermint green tea.
Friday

It’s Squeegee Season, which is a heck of a lot better than Ice Scraper Season, but not nearly as nice as Just Get in the Car and Go Season.
Thanks for taking a peek at this week’s photos! If you want to see this stuff as it happens, please feel free to follow me on Flickr or Instagram ♥
I love that your son gets you to go places like that with him. Very special!!
Me too. We just got back from walking around the Great Swamp, in fact.
