TWiP: Soupy

This Week in Pictures, Week 5, 2019

It’s been a big week for soup around here. If I wasn’t working all day, and if I felt like making soup when I got home, I could put together some really nice homemade Turkey Curry Meatball Soup, or a nice chicken vegetable soup I got from Chris Carleton way back when. But honestly, I am perfectly happy with half a can of Amy’s Alphabet Soup. This week I had that for two days, some ramen noodles one day, and Trader Joe’s Lentil Soup with Ancient Grains graced my bowl twice, too. You really can’t beat a nice hot cup of soup on a cold, cold day!

So, what is This Week in Pictures?

It’s a roundup of the microblogging I’ve done on Instagram all week. This includes photos I shot for Project 365 and any other extra images I may have posted.

Photos taken with 📷 (Canon EOS 80D) or 📱 (Samsung Galaxy S7).

Ready? Cast your mind back to this time last week…

Saturday

26/365
Dug into the back of the cabinet today so I could have my lunch out of Grandma’s soup mug.

Sunday

The 18yo had an opening shift this morning, so I drove him to work, and then went into my own office for a few hours. It was pitch black when I arrived, but eventually the sun came up.

Monday

28/365
Periodically, I go in for followups after having had throat surgery a few years ago. Can’t say I’m a big fan of the tiny camera being snaked up my nose, or the feeling that I have to sneeze for the rest of the day, but I do enjoy getting another clean bill of health 🙂

Tuesday

29/365
Sometimes I turn all of the stuff on my desk to an angle so that I can watch TV while I edit photos.

Wednesday

30/365
Just in case there was any doubt that it’s still winter…

I just can’t eat soup without crackers. Tonight was a very filling bowl of lentil soup with some whole grain Goldfish sprinkled on top. A perfect cold weather meal.
P.S. It’s currently 4°F here. Is it cold where you are?

Thursday

Twelve pattern repeats down, nine to go! I might be losing steam… #dryadscarf

Nighttime snack: hot tea and almond biscotti.

Friday

32/365
Ah, Friday. I’m not doing anything I don’t feel like doing tonight 🙂

  1. This is a very cool way to make a blog post! I may try it someday when I get my own camera. I always need to borrow my husband’s IPhone or my daughter’s Nikon (which is way to complicated for me). I blog over at Harvest Lane Cottage. My latest post shows what I’ve been reading and knitting. https://bit.ly/2DZK2Bl Please come on by and say hello!

P.S. Now I’m going to look around your blog some more.

    1. Hi, Laura. Thanks for dropping by! If I didn’t make weekly posts like this, my poor blog would go ignored far too often. I find I am much more likely to post something quickly on Instagram than I am to put together a whole blog post, so a weekly roundup like this makes it so that the social media content doesn’t go to waste, and the blog doesn’t sit here all lonely 🙂

Thanks for sharing your blog with me – love the hat with the pom-pom. I would really like to knit myself a hat that doesn’t look awful on me 🙂
