TWiP: Colorful

This Week in Pictures, Week 9, 2018

I’ve been working on putting my clay work back into the shop this week, and so I feel like I’ve spent a lot of time looking at patterns and colors. It has been a colorful week!

So, what is This Week in Pictures?

It’s a roundup of the microblogging I’ve done on Instagram all week. This includes photos I shot for Project 365 (the theme for 2018 is mornings: #myyearofmornings2018) and any other extra images I may have posted.

πŸ“± = taken with my Samsung Galaxy S7

Ready? Cast your mind back to this time last week…

365 πŸ“±: #myyearofmornings Feb 24 – Happiness is a bag of warm bagels 😊 [Taken at O’Bagel.]

365 πŸ“±: #myyearofmornings Feb 25 – That feeling when you can curl up next to the window with a warm drink and a nice book after being out in the rain ❀

Instagram πŸ“±: – I’ve taken my #sundayhygge and relocated it to the family room πŸ”₯

365 πŸ“±: #myyearofmornings Feb 26 – Bathroom selfie in my #clayathon2018 t-shirt 😁 [Taken at work.]

Three on a Theme πŸ“±: Theme: Motion – I’m a little late with last week’s theme, but I *took* the picture last week. Does that count? πŸ˜„ [Taken at work.]

Instagram πŸ“±: – He’s 18 years old today, and kind of a “basket case” 🀣

365 πŸ“±: #myyearofmornings Feb 27 – Well, I scribbled and scribbled, but I can’t get the ink flowing again πŸ˜•. Guess I’m bringing this pen home tonight for an ink-ectomy followed by a transplant from a donor pen. [Taken at work.]

Instagram πŸ“±: – I spent my lunch hour writing a tutorial for how to replace the ink cartridge in one of my polymer clay pens, and then, wouldn’t you know it, the pen started working again! Nutty. I went ahead and published that blog post anyway, and I changed that ink, just for spite 🀣 [Taken at work.]

365 πŸ“±: #myyearofmornings Feb 28 – I could have shared yet another photo of my desk this morning, or I could have broken my self-imposed rule for this project and posted a scenic view from my lunchtime drive. This decision was a no-brainer 😁. I’m ok with breaking the rules once in a while. [Taken in Pottersville, NJ. In the Afternoon.]

365 πŸ“±: #myyearofmornings Mar 1 – Yesterday we ran out of milk at work. So, I tried one of the other random cartons of white liquid we had… As a testament to how well that went, this morning I’m bringing my own coffee in, just in case. (For the record, to me, buttercream half and half tastes like you stirred your coffee with a stick of butter 😡) [Taken at Starbucks.]

Instagram πŸ“±: – It’s a pouch full of bangles! I’ve been slowly adding my handmade items back to the Polka Dot Cottage shop lately, and tonight it was the bracelets’ turn 😊

Three on a Theme πŸ“±: Theme: Liquid – I’m working from home today, but first, I ran out for some coffee. It might have been a bit of a crazy thing to do… It’s *very* wet out there! [Taken at Starbucks.]

365 πŸ“±: #myyearofmornings2018 Mar 2 – This is a great place to work today: next to the window, watching the nor’easter go by. Maybe I’ll put on some quiet music, or maybe I’ll just listen to the rain.

Instagram πŸ“±: – I know I said this morning that I loved working from the couch – and I do – but this computer is really just a tablet with a flimsy detachable keyboard, and balancing it on my lap was not easy. I was beginning to miss my desk at work, but then I remembered this little wooden tray. Perfect! I added a #pdcmodfloralmandala to brighten it up. Now I’m happy again πŸ˜„

Instagram πŸ“±: – Know what’s fun to do on a windy, scary night? Turn the TV up loud so you can’t hear the howling, and then sit on your bed sorting your polymer clay pens by color. Repeat as needed 🀣

  1. Happy 18th!!!!! Those bagels had me drooling. The chair, the book, the feet to the fire, and a snack–NICE!
