I know you’ve probably seen this dress in my latest TWiP post, but I thought it should have its own Show and Tell. I really liked the first one I made, but this one is even better! I love this fabric. It’s from Anna Maria Horner’s Loominous collection.
The pattern, like before, is Dress No. 1 from 100 Acts of Sewing.
I think I’m done making these dresses for now. I have quite a few dresses in my closet, but I don’t wear them all that often. There’s no dress code where I work, so I often go in jeans and a t-shirt. Sometimes I wear one of my nice sewn blouses, skirts, or dresses, but it’s not an every day thing, and so I really don’t need more than what I already have.
That’s not to say that I’m retiring my sewing machine forever 😉 As long as there is the occasional urge to sew and a big enough chunk of fabric to go along with it, there will be sewing. In fact, I thought I was ready to put away the machine for a while, but I found a few yards of some nice fabric that I didn’t know I had, and now I’m thinking I might have one more shirt to sew before the machine goes away…
