In a matter of minutes my kids will be home from school (I’m writing ahead of time on a Friday afternoon) and then we will hop in the car for a weekend away. This is a relatively local trip, but by the time we are ready to leave, traffic is building and the ride can end up twice as long. Ugh.
My plan was to run to the food store and pick up some snacks for the car and the hotel room, but I’ve been too busy fiddling with other things (including this blog post) and now we either have to skip the snacks or risk even worse traffic. Tough choice. I think we may risk the traffic, though. I can’t be in a car for 2 hours with 2 teenage boys and no snacks 😜
Ah. One kid has walked in the door. That’s one down, one more to go.
BTW, I can’t remember the last time that I took this few photos in a week!
So, what is This Week in Pictures?
It’s a roundup of the photos I shot for Project 365 (one image each day for all of 2016), plus some snapshots I posted on Instagram during the previous week.

Ready? Cast your mind back to this time last week…
Saturday
365 📷: 2016 317/366 – I’ve stitched so many sweaters and blankets lately, I forget how nice it is to work on something that can be finished in a weekend! This is a glove in progress. I only started it last night and already it’s nearly done!
Sunday
365 📱: 2016 318/366 – Beautiful day. The kids wanted to go to the park, and I wanted to knit, so we are doing both ☺. I re-started the gloves I was working on. I decided the other pattern wasn’t going to work for what I had in mind.
Monday
365 📷: 2016 319/366 – Gloves finished! These are going to be a gift, but I had to try them on and give them a proper photo shoot, naturally ☺
Tuesday
365 📱: 2016 320/366 – My dad had a little surgery, and I’m driving him home as soon as they let him go.
Wednesday
365 📱: 2016 321/366 – My dinner is waiting for me on the Panera take-out shelf, and I am waiting for the commuter train to pass.
Thursday
365 📷: 2016 322/366 – Every time I am between projects, or I lose interest in what I’m working on, I tackle another few squares of this blanket. I wonder if I will ever really hunker down on it, or if it will always just be done in dribs and drabs like this.
Friday
365 📷: 2016 323/366 – We’ve spent so many years following Neil to the local sci-fi conventions that I’ve got packing down to a science. Or, at the very least, I’ve got an excellent list of things to consider bringing ☺
Thanks for taking a peek at this week’s photos! If you want to see this stuff as it happens, please feel free to follow me on Flickr and/or Instagram.
I may already have plans to blog about some of these things in greater detail over the coming week, but be sure to leave a comment if there’s something in particular you want to know about!
Prayers for your Dad. Nice gloves. Loving that blanket!
Thanks, Chloe, on all counts!
Very pretty gloves! And your blanket will be lovely when it’s done! Have a great trip!
Thanks, Jamie! I made more blanket progress this weekend 😊
