TWiP: Rain, sun, sand, and peonies

Oh, so many pictures this week! I’ll spare you the long introductory paragraph because I’ve pretty much told the whole story in image captions. ☺

So, what is This Week in Pictures?

It’s a roundup of the photos I shot for Project 365 (one image each day for all of 2016), plus some snapshots I posted on Instagram during the previous week.

Saturday

365 📷: 2016 142/366 – So, we’ve been in Ocean City, NJ since last night. Yesterday was a beautiful day, but we missed most of it. Today started out simply cloudy, but it turned windy and rainy before lunch. It’s still raining and cold now, but I am cautiously optimistic that tomorrow will be less wet. Sunday

365 📷: 2016 143/366 – This is pretty much the same view as yesterday’s post (although there’s daylight in this one, and a lady with a cheery red umbrella), but that’s mainly because it’s pretty much been the same weather as yesterday. It’s too wet to do much of anything or to bring my camera anywhere. [Taken from the balcony of the Oceanfront Motel.]

Monday

365 📷: 2016 144/366 – Guess what. No rain today ☺ We even got to hang out on the beach for a little while. I’m so glad we got one nice day before our long weekend is over! [Taken on the beach.]

Tuesday

365 📷: 2016 145/366 – So, the sun is setting on our little Ocean City getaway. Even with this one extra day we tacked on to our trip at the last minute, it still leaves us craving more. A long weekend is never enough! [Taken from the balcony of the Oceanfront Motel.]

Wednesday

365 📷: 2016 146/366 – We got home in the early afternoon today, and none of our peonies had opened yet. I went outside after supper, though, and look what I found! I can’t wait until a few more open up and I can bring them in the house. to decorate the kitchen table! On a related note: I have a kitchen table to clean off…

Thursday

365 📷: 2016 147/366 – How inconvenient to decide I want an iced coffee *after* I’ve already changed into my jammies for the night. Too bad Starbucks doesn’t deliver 😀

365 📷: 2016 148/366 – I cut three peonies this morning but I haven’t decided where to put them. So far I am just carrying them from room to room with me, setting them down wherever I am planning to be for a while ☺. Right now, I’m planning to be sitting on the bed, watching last week’s Wallander, and elevating my sore left foot.
