I feel like my mosaic should be a lot more festive at this time of year. There should be more bright reds and twinkly lights, I think…
I spent the first half of this week fighting a cold (and not feeling particularly festive) so I can be forgiven, I think 🙂 Plus, it gives me something to work towards next week, right?
Right.
So, what is This Week in Pictures?
It’s a roundup of the photos I shot with my DSLR for Project 365 (one image each day for all of 2015), plus some phone snapshots I posted on Instagram during the previous week.
Ready? Cast your mind back to this time last week…
Saturday
365: 2015 339/365 – Birthday party for my 3-year-old niece 🎉 ☺
Sunday
365: 2015 340/365 – Nothing feels nicer on a December sore throat than Candy Cane Green Tea.
Monday
365: 2015 341/365 – It’s a good night for chicken vegetable soup.
Tuesday
365: 2015 342/365 – I finished this sweater a few nights ago, or so I thought, until I looked at it in the daylight and saw a definite issue with the button bands. I’m going to have to re-do the side with the holes. Ugh. This is just one reason why I don’t enjoy picking up stitches. I never seem to do it consistently from one side to the other.
Wednesday
365: 2015 343/365 – I’ve only managed to get one Christmas decoration put up so far. Can you guess what it is?
Thursday
365: 2015 344/365 – Well, gee, thank you Windows for assuming I had nothing to do tonight. I was going to work on some necessary shop maintenance, but instead my laptop embarked on an hours’-long update without waiting for my permission. Good times.
Friday
365: 2015 345/365 – I have the hardest time getting my act together enough to put up the tree and decorate it, but there’s always time to change out the paper straws in the kitchen 😉
Thanks for taking a peek at this week’s photos! If you want to see this stuff as it happens, please feel free to follow me on Flickr and/or Instagram.
I may already have plans to blog about some of these things in greater detail over the coming week, but be sure to leave a comment if there’s something in particular you want to know about!
Hi, hope all’s well.. warm wishes for the festive days ahead.. the clay family portrait sounds like fun.. is it another of your annual rituals? don’t think i’ve seen it before.. curious to see how it turns out!
I was looking at your table runner and it reminded me of some i saw here in Karachi.. really festive bright colors, if you’re ever in the mood to change it. .. Will try and email you the pics.. We have a small 4 seater oval table, bought some to gift to cousins and friends instead..
Hi, Gulnaz. It used to be an annual ritual for many years, but they got to be too much for me and I stopped doing them. This is the first time I’ve done them in six years.
The table runners sound interesting. I love bright festive colors 🙂
