TWiP: Unraveled

This Week in Pictures (TWiP) at Polka Dot Cottage

This week I started three sweaters and unraveled two of them. And the third I am so iffy about, it might be destined for unravelry, too.

So, what is This Week in Pictures?

It’s a roundup of the photos I shot with my DSLR for Project 365 (one image each day for all of 2015), plus some phone snapshots I posted on Instagram during the previous week.

Ready? Cast your mind back to this time last week…

365: 2015 206/365 – Saturday in the park, having fun with little cousins 🙂

365: 2015 207/365 – I worked in the morning, but the rest of the day has been spent sitting on the bed, watching Netflix, winding balls of yarn, and knitting a little something for me. And it’s not over yet.

365: 2015 208/365 – Casting on the wrong size was just one of the mistakes I made while knitting my sweater for me this weekend. I got 50 rows in and just knew I would never wear it. So… sweater unraveled, yarn re-wound, and we’re back to the beginning.

365: 2015 209/365 – So, I’m taking apart another sweater. Turns out, while I thought I had four balls of mustard yarn, I actually had the one I got this far with plus three chartreusey balls of yarn. They don’t match at all. And I’m not buying more yarn. So, goodbye lightweight mustard cardi. Sigh.

365: 2015 210/365 – The water was niiiiiiice today 🙂

365: 2015 211/365 – Rainy Thursday. The moss and the weeds look so much greener in the rain.

365: 2015 212/365 – Played Upwords with the family this afternoon. It was fun, but one of our players was obsessed with looking up obscure words on the internet the whole time. I think we need some new games to try. Any suggestions?

Thanks for taking a peek at this week’s photos! If you want to see this stuff as it happens, please feel free to follow me on Flickr.

I may already have plans to blog about some of these things in greater detail over the coming week, but be sure to leave a comment if there’s something in particular you want to know about!

    1. Thanks for the suggestion. I think one of the kids even got that for Christmas one year! I need to figure out where it ended up…

  3. You’ll figure it out and it will be what you love. Although, I just love the blue and white with the mustard…those color combos look really good together! 🙂

    1. I do, too. I should have just bought more gold yard and kept going! Oh well.

  4. […] ended up re-starting the doomed cap-sleeve Everyday Cardigan I frogged last week, and I am kinda surprised to be saying this, but I’m almost done! I’ve got something […]
