Weekend Favorites

Hello there. I dropped the ball on links again this week. It’s a good thing I can’t be fired from this blogging gig…

This week’s images, though? I love how late-spring-like they are. The beach, the flowers, the bicycle… these images are woven together with a warm-weather thread that just makes me so happy.

I had a dream the other night that we had a mid-May snow storm. I’m glad to have woken up from that one. Whew.

The mosaic below represents other people’s pictures that spoke to me this week on Flickr and Instagram. Click on the titles below the mosaic to get a better look at the images and see more from the photographers who made them.

In the process I also sanded my fingers until one of them bled. (Not recommended.) But if anywhere is going to have some moisture and vibrancy during a drought, a swamp is. After work, I went to a part of the Great Swamp that I don't usually visit. I was looking for some big pink flowers to focus on and zoom into, and while I did find them, I liked this wide angle view better. The pile of wool that I have been sitting with almost every evening is growing at a satisfying pace. I work on it for an hour or two, or until I can no longer stand the feeling of a sweater on my lap in August.
